During the fall of 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri, a young boy talked to his father about the fact that people seem lonely and angry at one another. There were a lot of difficulties in the world and everyone seemed disconnected and divided. The two began to talk about what could be done about it. Then an idea came to him. What if he could make something where people could creatively express what they like while creating positive connections? What if people divided could come together over something they loved? In that moment, this quiet kid had a big idea to get people talking and Let’s Talk Tees was born.
They created their first shirt, “Marty or Ferris”, and gave it to the boy’s seventeen-year-old brother to wear. They were delightfully surprised as it worked! Strangers and friends freely walked up and said, “Definitely Marty!”, or “I think Ferris is more fun”. It lead to conversations and positive connections. What if they could duplicate those experiences thousands of times over? They decided to give the idea a chance and open it up to the world.
